A New President? A New Era? Or Is It The Same Old Stuff?

Sunday afternoon of a historic week to come... Sure- the election is on your mind, but what does it mean? Will your life change on November 5th? Will it change by November 5th 2009?  Do these elections really impact our daily lives? Will we live our lives differently because we have a new president?




There seems to be such a disconnect between what a new administration promises and what the realities of our individual lives are... Think about it-- if you are a Republican will your life be ruined if a Democrat is in office? If you are a Democrat, is it all over for you personally if the Republicans win?  Many people feel like if their candidate doesn't make it in we are doomed... My personal opinion?  Give me a break.... A Republican president will take our country down one particular path, a Democratic preseident will take it down a sligthly different path- but in the end the quality of our lives is determined by us and not our president... Don't believe me? Think about the last great day or crappy day you had.... Was it because of who was in the White House? Maybe for some- but for most of us, our joy and misery come from within us and our personal actions.... So best of luck to whoever you are voting for... But more importantly- best of luck to you...
